Organisations at Addi Road Centre

Addi Road is an unusual community organisation. It is both:

1. A food relief charity running many human rights, arts & culture and sustainability programs to care for community.

2. Custodian of 3.5 hectares of Crown land—a former army depot—in Marrickville in Sydney’s inner west.

Addi Road has the huge task of maintaining dozens of buildings, many of which are historic former army huts never intended for long-term use.

Addi Road holds the head lease and licences to over 40 artists and community-orientated organisations to generate income to maintain the buildings, grounds and over 170 trees on the site.

Diverse services to support community

Addi Road aims to have diverse services and groups that benefit and support the broad cross-section of people in our community, especially those that are vulnerable and disadvantaged.

Current residents range from local artists and performers to organisations nurturing physical wellbeing to mental health to refugee and free legal services.

A directory of the organisations and individuals we currently licence to is below.
