Fair Trade Emporium

In the Stone Hut at Addison Road Community Centre you will find the amazing Fair Trade Emporium.

Here, independent fair traders work cooperatively to offer you a unique selection of hand-crafted artisan made, fair trade gifts and products.

With organic foods, tea, coffee and chocolate, baskets and bags, fashion, jewellery and accessories, stationery, home wares, and more, sourced from Aboriginal organisations in Australia and disadvantaged communities around the world this is the place you can find beautiful gifts and eco-friendly cleaning materials for your home.

The Fair Trade Emporium opened in the spring of 2014 as a collaboration between the NSW Fair Trade Network and the  Addison Rd Community Centre.

The Fair Trade Emporium specialises in providing ethically sourced and ecologically sustainable products from around the world to the Marrickville community and our visitors from across Australia.

By shopping at The Fair Trade Emporium you can be sure that there is no child labour or slavery in the supply chains of the goods you buy.

We are open on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.

Finding Us

The Fair Trade Emporium is located in “The Stone Shed” a former ammunition store on the grounds of the Addi Road Community Centre at 142 Addison Road, Marrickville. We are opposite the car park exit.
Train & Walk: You can walk from Marrickville, Sydenham or Stanmore station – they are all about 15 minutes away from the Centre.
Bus: The 428 Bus from Circular Quay/Central stops at the front gate of The Addison Road Community Centre.
Walk &Cycle: We encourage everybody who can to walk or ride their bikes to the Centre.
Car: There is ample parking available at the Centre (except on Sundays, when the market is open).
