Addison Road Community Organisation’s latest Community.a.Fair is running with the theme of Share the Journey.
It’s all part of Mental Health Month – and we’ll be celebrating, sharing information and all kinds of experiences at our Community.a.Fair event this Wednesday, October 2nd from 10am till 1pm.
Addi Road’s Mark Mordue went on 2SER-FM’s Drive program to speak with Danny Chifley about the day.
“I think we all know that anxiety and depression and suicide, all these issues, are rising out there. There’s a host of reasons for that. From social justice concerns and pressures like the low Newstart rate to the digital life we lead and how that isolates people. It’s very difficult to come together in a real physical way and very easy to feel that you’re on your own. So it’s really great, I think, that Addison Road Community Organisation are putting together a day like this – as much for people coming together, as for the information they can get during the day… and in a place where they can also enjoy getting that information.”
