Brett & Hayley first became aware of RHD whenThe film is a call to our government to listen and fund the community-led services that will prevent RHD, especially for our First Nations children. Take Heart, Deadly Heart is the sequel to the 2016 documentary Take Heart: The Quest to Rid Australasia of Rheumatic Heart Disease which won nine awards, including gold medal for Best Featurette at the Global Independent Film Awards.
