Addi Road can provide a variety of programs for schools including excursions, anti-racism workshops, school breakfasts and lunches and volunteering opportunities.
Can we have a conversation?
Anti-Racism Program for High Schools
Can We Have A Conversation? is a 4-hour anti-racism workshop developed by and for young people. Some of its key focus areas include:
• Defining and refining concepts such as race, ethnicity, and culture
• Identifying different types of racism
• Understanding racism in the context of a settler-colonial country
• Navigating and challenging misinformation and disinformation online
• Intervening in racist behaviors, both as someone experiencing racism and as a bystander
Each workshop is capped at 30 students, with two facilitators per classroom to ensure meaningful engagement and discussion.
School Excursions
Addi Road has hosted school excursions and site tours for over 9 years. We think of Addi Road as a Living Museum – a place of historical significance where unique things happen every day. We work with partner organisations to deliver engaging, relevant and exciting school workshops. Please browse the School Excursion Curriculum to find out more about our workshops.
