Addi Road and the Inner West Multicultural Network are celebrating Saturday, Marc 21st as International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination.

The day is supported by the United Nations. Australia is the only country in the world to have rebranded and renamed it ‘Harmony Day’. At this difficult and uneasy time, we need to face our problems and strengthen our sense of community in every way we can. We say there is NO HARMONY IN RACISM.

Tune in below to an interview with Professor Tim Soutphommasane from the University of Sydney. He discusses International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination and the importance of anti-racism with Colin Hesse of Radio Skid Row:

“We know there are extremist right wing organisations that are resurgent and that are seeking to capitalise on political developments.”
