Brett Kirk of the Sydney Swans swung by Addi Road today with a special delivery for us.
2,000 Swans caps to go with our #HampersofHope for Christmas!!!
We plan to pack and send out at least 1,000 special gift hampers over the next week, starting this Monday 13 December and working right through till Friday 17 December.
The idea is to surprise people and families who might be doing it tough by delivering them something special for this time of year: #HampersofHope 2021.
The Sydney Swans have been a close part of our family since last year when Kieren Jack and Nick Smith came here to pack food hampers and make deliveries for us after connecting to Craig Foster’s #PlayForLives campaign at Addi Road.
Now Brett Kirk is taking things further. The one time Swans captain is currently Head of Player Wellbeing & Development at the Sydney Swans and he is getting the whole team involved.
Today he’s fronted up with a few boxes of player caps that will make a lot of kids and fans happy. Not least our biggest Swans fan and star volunteer, Robyn White, who looks like she has the right gear already! A great kick off for the week ahead.
