Sikh Youth Australia will host an ANZAC Day commemorative exhibition, ‘Duty, Honour & Country’, curated by Malayan historian, Harchand Singh Bedi. The exhibition tells the stories of Sikh soldiers who fought and died in the blood-soaked trenches of the Somme and Gallipoli, the deserts and heat of Africa and the Middle East, alongside their British, Indian and Commonwealth counterparts to serve the greater good, gaining a reputation as fearsome and fearless soldiers.
This exhibition includes remarkable written accounts of their experiences and achievements and rarely seen imagery, postcards, paintings, and ephemera.
