Providing food relief to those who need it most

The Addi Road Community Action Fund ensures that people in Sydney experiencing food insecurity can access healthy, nutritious and culturally appropriate food with dignity.

People in need are referred to us by more than 70 service delivery agencies working across Sydney. These agencies know their communities best and understand their needs, but don’t usually have the capacity to offer food relief to their clients. That’s where the Addi Road Community Action Fund comes in.

The diversity of beneficiaries reflects the widespread effects of growing inequality, entrenched disadvantage and workforce casualisation in Australia – all exacerbated by COVID-19.
